Action packed night of KBO! We’ll have two best bets on card. First, NC will take on KT who are struggling to win games in June. NC Mike Wright is not trending in the right direction, take the full game over 10. Game 2, Kiwoom and LG will showcase two quality pitchers, who are off to a terrific June. I’ll be making a move on the First Five Under 5.

NC Dinos vs KT Wiz (2am EST) at Suwon KT Wiz Park

We know how good the NC DInos are playing, they’ve sat at the top of the KBO for the majority of the season. Going forward, NC will be tested down the stretch, against teams like Kiwoom, Kia and LG. KT find themselves now 8th in the KBO, and their starting pitching has been awful. Surprisingly the bullpen has played considerably better than what they were showing in May. Now KT will rely on Je-seong Bae to get them a crucial win against a top squad like NC.

Game 2 NC’s ace Chang-mo Koo will more than likely get the start. He is lights out on the year, if KT wants to win one of these double-header games, it will need to be against Mike Wright. June has not been kind to Mike, despite winning 2 of his 3 games, his June stats need work, at 4.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 0.270 opponent batting average. I’m not high on what Mike’s been able to do in June, and with runners on base he allows an average .267 percent. When we compare that to Chang-mo going in game two for NC, his sits at .140 best in the KBO.

As you know, KT lacks inning eaters. Min-soo Kim will go tonight, and might be the worst of them all. He is pitching better than what his season numbers show. Kim is 1-0 with a 2.05 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and opponent batting average at .316. Though he is pitching better in June, he still holds a 7.97 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 0.396 Opp. B.A on the year.

    Batting Avg: .0.297
    OPS % : 0.859
    RBI’s Per Game: 6.41

    OPS % : 0.806
    RBI’s Per Game: 5.57
    Hits Per Game: 10.3

Tonight’s KBO Best Bet: NC/KT Full Game Over 10 -115

Kiwoom Heroes vs LG Twins (2am EST) at Jamsil Baseball Stadium

Kiwoom are on fire, now 14-5 in June with a +40 run differential. With the addition of Addison Russell from the Cubs, Kiwoom will be a team to look out for when it comes playoff time. Tonight Kiwoom will face Tyler Wilson from the LG Twins. Tyler is a steady soldier, keeping his numbers in check on both the road, and at home. His ERA is lower in June at 3.50, while his WHIP, and opponent batting average stays right about par. (1.38, 0.250). Left handed hitter will have more success at the plate, with a .289 batting average, compared to .206 to righties.

Kiwoom did not enjoy that game the rain out last night, as they are now on a six game win streak. LG’s bullpen has struggled in June, since holding a top 3 bullpen WHIP in May. Kiwoom on the other hand have the best bullpen WHIP in the league, while hitting top 2 after the 5th inning. Kiwoom will look at Seung-ho Lee to keep the momentum rolling for the Heroes. He is winless on the year, but his numbers in June are as good as one can ask for. Lee has a 1.50 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and a 0.234 Opp. batting average. On the road, Lee’s numbers are impressive, with a 3.00 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 0.238 Opp. batting average.

Lee has struggled in the first 3 innings of games, if he can find get out of any trouble early, he holds a .130 batting average from innings four-six. Same goes with Wilson for LG, if he gets out of the first three innings, he only allows a .205 average from innings four-six. There have not been many rain outs in the KBO thus far, but when there is, I’ve found there to be a lack of runs early. Let’s take advantage of two solid pitchers, and ride an Under 5. Best of luck!

    Batting Avg.: 0.267
    OPS % : 0.788
    RBI’S Per Game : 5.5

    Batting Avg. : 0.293
    OPS % : 0.793
    RBI’S Per Game : 5.3

    RISP : 0.301
